The 12th International Day of Yoga: Yoga Saptaha: Evening TalksAs part of the 12th International Day of Yoga celebrations, Yoga Saptaha: Evening Talks was organized by the Uditam Institute of Integral Healing and AuroYajna, Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry. The evening featured an insightful lecture by Dr Kishor Kumar Tripathy , Member Secretary, AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society on the topic, “From Inner Transformation to Global Sustainability: Sri Aurobindo’s Integral Yoga as a Pathway to Peaceful Coexistence.”

Dr Tripathy emphasized that lasting global peace begins with the inner transformation of individuals. Drawing upon Sri Aurobindo’s philosophy of Integral Yoga, he explained that personal growth, ethical living, and conscious action are closely linked to social harmony and sustainable development. Quoting Sri Aurobindo’s famous statement, “All life is Yoga,” he highlighted that every aspect of life can become a means of spiritual progress.

The talk explored the holistic nature of Integral Yoga, which integrates the body, mind, emotions, and spirit while encouraging sincerity, compassion, and responsibility in daily life. Stressing that inner peace forms the foundation of world peace, the speaker noted that meditation, self-awareness, and calm communication help reduce conflict and promote harmonious relationships.

A significant part of the lecture focused on human unity, environmental sustainability, and the importance of respecting diversity. The audience was encouraged to adopt simple, eco-friendly habits and recognize the deep interconnection between humanity and nature. The role of education in nurturing ethical leadership, creativity, and global citizenship was also highlighted, reflecting the ideals of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother.

Concluding the session, Shri Tripathy affirmed that Integral Yoga offers a practical vision for building a peaceful and sustainable civilization. He inspired participants to cultivate compassion, conscious living, and spiritual values, reminding them that individual transformation can contribute meaningfully to collective well-being and global harmony.

On this occasion, Shri Shekhar Manik Kshatriya, Director of AuroYajna, highlighted the spiritual significance of Sri Aurobindo’s Integral Yoga as practiced and developed by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. He also outlined the various initiatives of the Sri Aurobindo Society in promoting holistic health, wellness, and conscious living through diverse community-based programs.

The lecture concluded with an interactive discussion, during which devotees of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother shared their reflections and perspectives on the theme of Integral Yoga and peaceful coexistence.
