AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society hosted an interactive meeting with the delegations from National Archives of India, Ministry of Culture, on 28th November, 2024. Dr Kishor Kumar Tripathy, Member Secretary, AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry, briefly mentioned about the vision of AuroBharati “to rediscover the genius and outstanding magnificence of Indian culture and works to apply it dynamically to life and all its activities in the building of a new India.”
He discussed the various initiatives undertaken by AuroBharati with special emphasis on cultural heritage and sustainability. The delegations were informed about the life and contributions of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. As part of the discussion, preservation of the cultural heritage, training, and community outreach programs for the archive professionals were also discussed. Mrs. Charu Tripathy also interacted about the preservation efforts required for the rich heritage of collections in Museums and archives.
The delegation from National Archives of India, including Shri K.C. Jena, Shri S. Balasubramanian and Shri Uday Shankar shared about the initiatives of the NAI including the record of enduring value and the repository which constitute an invaluable source of information for scholars/administrators and other users of archives.
