AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society, Union Territory in collaboration with Vedic Wellness University organized an International Symposium on ‘Vedic Vision of Wellness and Sustainability, on 14th October, 2024 at Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry. This symposium, which is a part of the Memorandum of Understanding between Sri Aurobindo Society and Vedic Wellness University, concentraded on the Integral approach to sustainability and wellness in the context of Vedic wisdom.
peaking on the occasion, Dr Kishor Kumar Tripathy, Member Secretary, AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry said about the scope of the collaboration between Sri Aurobindo Society and Vedic Wellness University. He said that Sri Aurobindo Society and Vedic Wellness University will continue conceptual, policy and action-based Research; jointly partnering and collaborating in projects and programs; preparation of resource materials for various courses with special emphasis on Indian culture and values; organization of seminars conferences and workshops; recognition of degrees, diplomas and certificates of other educational bodies and institutions related to Indian Culture and heritage. He said about the international symposium, which focused on holistic living, mental and physical wellness, with a concentration on Integral Development as well.
Shri Kaushal Sharma, Member Executive, Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry, said about the rich and diversity of knowledge expressions mentioned in the Vedic Scriptures and said that this collaboration can bring positive outcomes in the areas of research, collaboration and outreach activity.
Mr. Krishnamoorthy G, Founder & President, Vedic Wellness University, Florida highlighted about the Scientific aspects of Vedic Wisdom and emphasized on technology-based innovative global platform for Vedic Education and research through talent recognition and reward managements.
In addition to discussing the establishment of a “strong intellectual and entrepreneurial platform that could have transformative impact on wellness of individual at regional, national, and global level through preservation, promotion, propagation of Sanatana Dharma,” Mrs. Rashmi, co-founder and vice president of Vedic Wellness University in Florida, spoke about India’s rich cultural legacy based on the Vedic ethos.
Dr. Kishor Kumar Tripathy gave a thorough presentation on wellness and sustainability, which are discussed in the Vedas in the context of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, as part of the celebrations that included a symposium on the “Vedic Vision of Wellness and Sustainability.” He discussed the global wellness trend and highlighted the role played by Vedic seers in promoting wellness. He provided a plethora of examples from Sri Aurobindo and the Mother’s works on wellbeing, with a focus on the five facets of human nature—physical, vital, mental, psychic, and spiritual.
In the context of Sri Aurobindo, Dr. Larry Seidlitz, an online course facilitator and student mentor, discussed the Vedic concept of wellbeing.
The program was coordinated by Mrs. Charu Tripathy, Associate Director, AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry, who also discussed the numerous efforts made to promote Indian culture and history.
